Project TEACH (Training and Education for the Advancement of Children’s Health) is designed to strengthen and support the ability of New York’s pediatric primary care providers (PCPs) to deliver care to children and families who experience mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.
Providers who are eligible to receive Project TEACH services include pediatricians, family physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other prescribers. Additionally, other mental health professionals who provide ongoing treatment to children, such as child and adolescent psychiatrists, general psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, may request a second opinion through consultations.
Available services
Consultations
- Telephone consultations for mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.
- Direct face-to-face consultations for selected pediatric patients.
Training
- Continuing medical education (CME)-certified training on how to assess, treat, and manage mental health concerns.
Referrals
